This is NOT a complete COMLEX review book and not even close to being worth almost $40. Its only 135 pages long and looks like something you could print out in your basement. The "hints and tips" it provides are nothing more than you would get from First Aid USMLE. It has some decent break downs for a quick review but not nearly as good as First Aid. I wouldn't buy it again.

Worthwhile book with good questions and in an easy to read format. Would like to have more "secrets" about strategies for taking the test. Will be helpful in preparing for the COMPLEX test.
The COMLEX guide book is an amazing tool in your hands, to help prepare you for this test. Here, you won't only find tips and suggestions about how to study and what are common things that make us nervous and anxious when taking a test. It will also cover all the specific topics you need to know about to pass the test, such as Nervous System (Brain, Reflex Arch) Maternal Responses to Pregnancy, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Psychological terms, Biochemistry, Axial skeleton, Muscular System, etc. You can also expect a practice test that contains questions that may come up on the test.
I purchased this product as an e-book through the company's website. Since this is the time when many medical students are taking their COMLEX, I thought I could use a book to hit some of the key points that would be tested before my exam. First of all, this book is an absolute joke... I think the other reviewer here who gave it 2 stars was far too kind. Although the book is 135 pages, the first 20 pages are tips, then there are 80 pages of content, and then the remaining pages are some practice exam.

Out of the 80 pages of content, about 10 pages are on nutrition. There are 3 pages on OMM (which is about 15-20% of the COMLEX, according to the experiences of most test takers). Of those 3 pages (which are not complete pages, as some lines are just bullets with few words), there is NO discussion of even the most high yield topics... such as cranial, Chapman's points, etc. You know something is definitely amiss when a supposedly a guide to succeeding on COMLEX doesn't even cover the most high yield subjects on osteopathy. What is discussed in those meager few pages on OMM, doesn't even make sense.

There is no author's name listed, but only the company. I suspect that this guide was written by a pre-med or someone not in the medical field with absolutely no idea whatsoever about medicine or osteopathy. It's incoherent. My fellow medical students had way better guides to share with other another for free. This company is simply attempting to take advantage of desperate medical students shelling out their money, when the product is absolute garbage.

FURTHERMORE, if all this wasn't bad enough, they are somewhat deceitful on their webpage, as they say that if you are unsatisfied with their product for any reason, you can get a 100% refund guaranteed, no questions asked.

Well, guess what? I did write to them requesting a refund. And they in turn, asked me what I didn't like about the book and sent me a form to fill out. You have to sign under penalty of perjury that you deleted the e-book, destroyed all printed copies of notes made from their product, otherwise face prosecution etc. Seriously???? Umm... I've ordered many e-books in the past (with only 2 returns in the past, I believe), and in both cases I received a refund immediately with no questions asked, no crazy forms asking me to put myself at risk of prosecution, etc. Well I doubt that I would be interested in emailing all my friends this book, as it is such incoherent nonsense that it would not help them in their studies anyways. I'd be more interested in saving a copy of this book so that I can show others how badly companies like this try to take advantage of medical students wanting to do well on their boards. I have no idea where they got the few praiseworthy reviews on their website, as it seems like a total farce. I wish there was a way to prosecute companies like this who try to scam medical students by putting together incoherent guides and then try to not give people their money back... but unfortunately companies like this are allowed to exist.

Anyways, to anyone searching for a good COMLEX resource, this isn't it at all. Stick to your First AID, read Savarese, and do question banks (COMBANK, UWORLD, etc). Some flashcards sets are also rated highly. These will create your foundation. There is no shortcut. (In my case I wasn't looking for a shortcut, simply a quick review.) But at present there are no good ones yet that I know of.
